Since the fall of 2019, the Alayli family has been suffering from the economic and social crisis gripping Lebanon. This Beirut fishing family survives day to day, relying on resourcefulness and humor. The strong bonds between father, mother, and son are tested by ideological disagreements.
Born in Beirut in 1986, Sarah Srage worked as a set designer for a theater company and for television. She moved to Paris in 2009, where she continued her studies at the Beaux-Arts. In 2012, she trained in documentary filmmaking at the Lussas School. She released her first film, CHILDREN OF BEIRUT, in 2017.
