On the cusp of a monumental transformation, Elliniko, the southern region of Athens, is a focal point of tension and symbolism. Once the glorious showcase of modern Greece with its airport designed by Eero Saarinen, this place now reflects the successive crises that have struck the country.
A journalism graduate, Joséphine FAISANT moved to Athens for an internship with the Greek diplomatic service. While completing a Master’s degree in rhetoric, she honed her writing skills in online media, explored the world of photography, and gained experience in audiovisual production as an assistant production manager.
