Amadou left Guinea Conakry at the age of thirteen. Three years after his departure, he crossed the French border, hidden in the trunk of a car, and crossed paths with my brother Thibaut, an ornithologist in Grenoble. I don’t need you to tell me, it’s faster as the crow flies.
Clara LACOMBE trained by experimenting with sound design in Paris, working in animation at Silex Films. She is interested in the intersection of genres, seeking new modes of storytelling that blend drawings and live action, animation, and archives. She co-directed the audio docu-fiction series Les Nuits du bout des ondes (INA, 2021). À VOL D’OISEAU is her first short documentary.
