A brother, a sister, and her partner are torn between Syria, which they fled to survive, and Europe, their place of exile. Filmed over more than 20 years, this is the story of a search for the missing amidst the rubble and tortured bodies, a frantic race for survival, and, despite everything, a glimmer of hope.
Documentary filmmaker and activist Madalina Rosca has traveled the world for her work. She studied film in Romania, the UK, and Germany, and holds a PhD in documenting revolutions worldwide. Reem Karssli is a Syrian director who explores the documentary genre across various media. Her work has been screened in theaters, art galleries, and cinemas.
