This year, PriMed is making a stopover in Egypt and Italy as part of the 2024 Mediterranean Youth Prize. This tour allows young people to discover and discuss films selected in the Mediterranean Youth Prize category, while promoting dialogue. between cultures.
In Egypt: Alexandria, Cairo, El Beheira, Ismailia, Mansoura and Port Said / October 16 – 27
As part of our stopover in Egypt, we had the opportunity to broadcast the three selected documentaries. The screenings sparked enriching debates on contemporary themes. These exchanges helped to awaken minds and encourage critical thinking. Thanks to the collaboration of the CAF of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, teachers actively supported this initiative, emphasizing the importance of image education and the promotion of La Francophonie. This project inspired us to continue exploring these avenues of learning and sharing. Here is the list of establishments that participated.
In Italy: collaboration with Rai (Rome, Genoa, Bari, Venice, Sassari, Reggio Calabria, Palermo, Pescara)
The PriMed also stops in Italy, where Rai, the Italian public television, plays a major role in the broadcasting of films and the participation of young people. These Italian screenings help broaden the impact of the festival and encourage dialogue between the two shores of the Mediterranean.
By crossing several countries, PriMed 2024 once again establishes itself as an essential cultural bridge between the young generations of the Mediterranean.
