Born in Iraq, Ala’A MOHSEN arrived in Denmark in 2001 and grew up in a multicultural Iraqi and Danish community. Her graduation film, Free My Hands (2015), was selected for the Dubai International Film Festival (UAE), and her first feature-length documentary, A New Beginning (2020), premiered at CPH:DOX.
