In eastern Morocco, men continue to dig in abandoned mines dating back to the French protectorate. To survive in a world in ruins, they delve underground in search of depleted ores. From the depths of the abysses, the lost dreams of mining continue to haunt their imaginations.
A graduate of ENSAV in Toulouse, Thomas UZAN has directed several short documentaries (The Foundry, The Sacrifices, From Body to Soul) and one animated film (Novaïa Zemlia). He has also created the sound for several short fiction films and a radio play. As a production assistant, he has worked with Endemika Films and Papang Films on Reunion Island.
