In the south of France, in the heart of the Camargue, Jawad and Belka, two young French people of North African origin, free themselves through their passion for Camargue races. Much more than a traditional fight, this confrontation without killing the bull allows them to take their place in the arena as in French society. But at what cost?
Jérémie BATTAGLIA became known to the general public through his video Casseroles which captured the student demonstrations of May 24, 2012, in Montreal. To date, it has more than 750,000 views. He works on numerous web documentary projects with the NFB, signs video clips and collaborates with the Cultural Factory. Jérémie directed Perfectes in 2017, a theatrical success in France, finalist in his category at the Iris Québec Cinéma and Gémeaux awards. In 2018, he founded Extérieur Jour with Amélie Lambert-Bouchard and Elodie Pollet and directed Le Frère, winner of the Iris Québec Cinéma prize for Best documentary short film.
