Fida grew up in Beirut in the 1980s during the war, immersed in the “red hell” her grandmother spoke of. The omnipresence of death made her doubt the value of life and the meaning of this war. Using figurines and miniature models, she meets militiamen and compares her childhood vision with theirs.
After graduating from La Fémis, Sylvie BALLYOT explored a wide variety of cinematic forms—film diaries, creative documentaries, as well as short and medium-length fiction. Her latest film, Green Line, represents the culmination of her exploration of the boundary between the individual and the community, between the intimate and the collective.
