When Sarah, 30, becomes a mother, she decides to break the omertà imposed by her father on her family’s past. During the Algerian war, his grandfather fought alongside the French against the independence of his people. When France loses, the whole family flees to Marseille… but instead of being welcomed, they are locked up in a camp in Lot-et-Garonne for nearly 15 years. This is where Sarah’s journey begins… uncovering what France has tried to hide for decades. In addition to writing screenplays and directing fiction films, Vittorio MORONI has written and directed several documentary films (The Holidays of the Licu, In the footsteps of the cat, Eve and Adam, etc.), which have been shown in cinemas and on italian television and overseas and have been selected in the main international festivals (Toronto Hot Docs, Idfa, Brooklyn, etc.).

Journalist based in Paris, Cécile KHINDRIA has produced reports on various national and international subjects such as The Russian threat to Northern Europe, Albania’s difficult exit from communism or Hitler’s secret Indian legion. This is her first documentary film.
