Joëlle, a filmmaker, returns to her native country with her husband Melhem to launch a permaculture project. With the help of their herpetologist friend Rami, they set out to find the snakes living on their land. They quickly begin to question the impact of the pesticides used by their neighbors.
Joëlle ABOU CHABKE is a Lebanese director, cinematographer, and sound engineer. Since 2008, she has directed, filmed, and recorded numerous award-winning documentaries and series, including Aller-Retour (2019), No Ports for Small Boats (2017), and the documentary series Victims and Heroes (2024).
