On October 29, 1956, 49 farmers from the village of Kafr Qasim, returning from their fields, were killed by Israeli soldiers because they were unaware that the curfew had been brought forward by one hour that day. Recently released, transcripts of the soldiers’ trial reveal disturbing truths about Jewish-Arab relations in Israel. The 1957 Transcript is a reconstruction of this trial.
