A former Hague Tribunal investigator returns to the Balkans, where war crimes were committed almost 30 years ago. Can justice be done from outside?
Viktor PORTEL studied at the Documentary Department of FAMU in Prague. As documentary filmmaker and head of the audiovisual department at Post Bellum, he’s also producer and content advisor. In particular, he prepared an in situ exhibition entitled ‘Memory of Nation’ (2018) in the former Stalin Memorial and supervised a video mapping installation for the anniversary of the Velvet Revolution. He oversaw and partially directed a documentary television series called Stories of 20th Century. His short film Havel Heart won the Czech Press Photo Award. He is currently finishing his first feature film, The Investigator. He studied at the Documentary Department of FAMU in Prague.
