PriMed 2026 : ALL STATISTICS OF REGISTERED FILMS

For its 30th edition, the PriMed festival confirms its place in the Mediterranean audiovisual landscape, breaking a historic participation record with over 600 documentaries registered. The vitality of audiovisual creation remains strong, even though the production of works continues to be largely concentrated in Southern Europe — mainly in France, Spain, and Italy — while the directors’ perspectives reach across the entire Mediterranean basin. More than ever, the festival asserts itself as a sounding board for the upheavals of the contemporary world.

The registered works reflect today’s geopolitical emergencies and the conflicts tearing the region apart. Palestine and Syria thus occupy a central place this year in this 30th edition, becoming the most filmed territories by filmmakers.

But the selection is not limited to wars or painful memories. The films registered for PriMed 2026 open up to more intimate and deeply human narratives: personal portraits, stories linked to heritage, and citizen struggles for social justice, the environment, and women’s rights.
