Pierre HASKI – PRESIDENT OF THE JURY
Journalist and president of Reporters Without Borders

Pierre HASKIis a journalist, Geopolitics columnist in the France Inter morning show. He was AFP correspondent in South Africa, then joined the daily Libérationin 1981. He became head of the international service, correspondent in Jerusalem and Beijing, then deputy editorial director; before co-founding, in 2007, the information site Rue89, the first pure player launched in France. He is also an international columnist for L’Obs. he is the author of several books: Le Sang de la Chine (Grasset, 2005), Five Years in China (Les Arènes, 2006), Les Années 50, and if the cold war started again (with Pascal BLANCHARD and Farid ABDELOUAHAB), (La Martinière, 2018), Geopolitics of China (Eyrolles, 2018). He has directed several documentaries, notably in 2023 for Arte: The Red Princessand We are Taiwan. He has been president of the NGO Reporters Without Borders (RSF) since 2017.

Amel OLWANE
Actress, Director, Producer and Presenter
Amel OLWANE began her acting career in 1987 at the Dhat Al-Hilayn theater where she played in numerous plays such as Sakam Al-Arayies. From 1993, she continued her career on television, where she collaborated on more than fifty dramatic works. After her thesis on acting performance, she joined the production department of the Tunisian Television Establishment as an assistant director before becoming a director for several programs, including the series TAJALLIYAT 2019. Subsequently, she joined the private channel Telvza TV to produce and present the morning show Sbahkoum Amal. Returning to national television in 2023, she produces and presents the film program Zoom.

thomais PAPAÏOANNOU

Thomaïs PAPAÏOANNOU
Correspondent for Greek (ERT) and Cypriot (CyBC-RIK) public television in France
A graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Sciences, Thomaïs PAPAÏOANNOU worked, from Paris, as a freelancer for CNN and, subsequently, for the American channel CBC as a production assistant on the show “60 minutes”. Within the Anglo-American press agency WTN, she joined the London offices before returning to France as producer in the Paris office. After the merger of WTN and Associated Press, she continued her collaboration with the Paris bureau of APTN (Associated Press Television News). From the year 2000 and after a brief stay at the EBU headquarters in Geneva as editor-in-chief, she joined the Canal+ group as media coordinator and worked as a correspondent in France for the public channels ERT (Greece) and CyBC-RIK (Cyprus). She also participates in the current affairs magazine “28 minutes” on ARTE.

Thierry FABRE
Author, exhibition curator and founder of the Rencontres d’Averroès
Thierry FABRE is a lover of the Mediterranean. Founder of the Rencontres d’Averroès, in Marseille, General Commissioner of the inaugural Mucem exhibition,Le Noir et le Bleu. A Mediterranean dream, he was notably editor-in-chief of the magazine La Pensie de Midi and director of the BLEU collection, at Actes Sud. He is the author of numerous texts, articles, catalogs and books, inspired by the Mediterranean, including Traversées and Eloge de la pensee de midi, published by Actes Sud.

Reda BENJELLOUN
Director of news magazines and documentaries at 2M

Born in 1966, Reda Benjelloun graduated in law from the Sorbonne. He began his career as a legal consultant in Paris. In 1995, he turned to journalism and joined TV 2M (Morocco). He will in turn be a reporter, presenter and producer of news magazines. He currently directs the news and documentary magazines. Since 2011, he has produced “Des Histoires et des Hommes” on 2M, a weekly documentary broadcast on Sunday evenings in prime time.

Fabrice BLANCHO
Deputy Director at the Department of Diffusion and Innovation of the INA em>
The Editorial Department of the INA is responsible for designing, producing, and disseminating the editorial offering of the National Audiovisual Institute. A graduate of INSEEC and holder of a master’s degree in business law, Fabrice BLANCHO has experience acquired over more than 20 years within various audiovisual companies, notably Arte France, as director of production, Ellipse Program from the Canal + group, and the independent production company Point du Jour. From 2011 to 2020, he directed the Audiovisual Productions Department of the INA, which produced and co-produced around 60 documentaries per year for the main French television channels, in partnership with numerous international broadcasters.

Fabio MANCINI
Senior Story Editor for RAI Documentari
After obtaining a master’s degree in Hong Kong cinema history, Fabio MANCINI begins his collaboration with RAI, Radio Televisione Italiana, and participates in the launch of certain channels on the RaiSat platform. He was the co-author of the last four editions of the show Storie Maledette and directed the documentary Afraid of Failing (2019).
